Vintage Engine Project
Collaborators were invited to create something based on the audio of this vintage petrol engine.
“When I recorded this at a steam fair this summer I was convinced it was a great feel and had tons of potential. Let’s see what folks came up with…” — TDC Tunes

The title is an anagram of “vintage engine” in case you were wondering.

Zedkah
Zedkah is Richard A, originally Essex- but now in a north London home studio. He has worked in a museum since the last millennium- so don't ask him what year it is.
Steam was the engine of Europe's industrial revolution. It was the petrol engine, like the one recorded, that caused its demise. Internal combustion, they put the fire inside. When Steam slipped out of usefulness, it instantly became the technology of nostalgia. Many cycles of invention and forgetting have since come and gone. This track looks back at when we looked back at steam.
A ragbag of previous lifetimes can be found on Richard’s Soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/zedkah
TDC Tunes
TDC Tunes explores the theme of a vintage engine by taking the listener on a journey deep into the machine.
Parts on their own that would be scattered and seemingly random, together make a moving sonic canvas.
TDC Tunes Engine track is available on Bandcamp for free download along with various other tracks - several are not on Spotify!
